Baffi & Mo Espresso, Redfern

Name: Baffi & Mo Espresso
Suburb: Redfern
Style: your Fridley neighborhood coffee shop

Food Recommendation: I did not pick up on the brand of coffee, but it was excellent, no sugar needed! I had the pesto, feta scramble which was a bit adventurous for me, but I appreciate that they had several classic options as well! And they served Sonoma bread, and in my opinion anyplace the serves Sonoma is on the right track to becoming a quality breakfast spot!

Atmosphere: We loved the athomoushper! Everything from the mustache on the sign to the funky wall paper. Though it was a smaller café it was still conformable enough to chat. Probably not somewhere you would stay for too long because you can tell it’s a popular place and some days you may have to wait up to hour to get a table. Honestly, it was a delightful unexpected experience being that the café was located in Redfern!

Intelligence ratio: 7/13

Attractiveness of people: Good
(low, average, good, very good, excellent)

Likelihood of picking up a date: This café it the type of place that many people would frequent especially if your from the area because its one of the few places you can get a decent coffee! So if you see something you like that’s not on the menu, chances are if you go back you might see him/her again ;)

Bounce rate: For a good meal and experience I would go back if I was in the area. This café is defiantly a sparkle of granite in the hard asphalt of Redfern.

Amersnad, Paddington

Name: Amersnad
Suburb: Paddington
Style: Café & Book shop

Food Recommendation: I Benedict had just that, the Benedict which was classic and tasty, however I was eyeing up Florentines Corn Fitters. Everything here looked AMAZING! I would say there presentation was well above average and taste matched!

Atmosphere: This week we brought a friend along with us who we will call “Omelet”, now to say Omelet is a book lover is an understatement! SO this enviourment was highly stimulating. As soon as we walked in here eyes glazed over like a love sick puppy! Therefor she was quite distracted during our morning conversations, which was fine, it was just entraining to watch.

We absolutely love the atmosphere and are glad we decided to venture up stairs. Wall after wall of books, felt more like I was Bell in the Beasts library than out at brekki.

Intelligence ratio: 17/21

Attractiveness of people: Very Good

Likelihood of picking up a date:

Bounce rate: I think we would all go back. Benedict for the food, Florentine for the coffee, and Omelet for the books!

If you happen to get there on a Saturday I would recommend you stop by the Fringe Bar Markets, which are just a few shops away and is a unique Sydney shopping experience.

Fair Trade Coffee Company, Glebe

Name: Fair Trade Coffee Company
Suburb: Glebe
Style: Fair Trade Restaurant

Food Recommendation: Poached eggs, haomi, avocado, tomato, corn fritter = The Mediterranean Breakfast! I highly recommend this breakfast and would come back for it again! It was one of the larger sized breakfast but not heavy, it was well presented and tasted like a morning in Greece! In addition everything is fair trade, which always gets extra points in my book!

Atmosphere: What I loved about this café its eclectic variety of seating options. You could sit inside, you could sit at a table, you could sit on a longe, or on a bar stool! If alone sit by the bar side window, or with a group of friends at a large table. The options are endless. You could comfortably sit there for a few hours and read and sit coffee or quickly drop in for a meal! We both really appreciated the varity in they type of café this was. Although one was a bit strange off and that was that they advertised breakfast until 5pm…seriously, what not just make it all day!

Intelligence ratio: 18/30

Attractiveness of people: very good
(low, average, good, very good, excellent)

Likelihood of picking up a date: If your passionate about free trade, hopefully you will find our soul mate at this charming Glebe café.

Bounce rate: Maybe, maybe not as Glebe has many café we still want to try. But I would say the style, atmosphere and options contribute to the type of I would like to frequent! The Fair Trade Coffee Company is a great café, the type of place someone in the area could make home!
